NEW FOR 2001 Brighton model discontinued.
The big push for Subaru in 2001 with this
2nd year of the completely re-designed 3rd generation Legacy that first
came out in 2000 is the all new H-6 3.0L engine that will only be available
in the Outback. It won't be in any other models this year. Maybe the GT
in 2002.
New for 2001

"Dealer trade"or "locate". These mean a dealer will attempt to find a vehicle in another dealer's inventory and then trade with that dealer. The vehicle will be driven from the other location and will have appropriate miles. Your dealer will search for the correct model and then contact the other dealer. This can take place within days if a vehicle is already in stock someplace.
Pre-sell: You wait for a vehicle the dealer already has ordered and is expecting to be delivered into their own stock.
Order: If a vehicle is freshly ordered, Subaru will give an expected delivery date but this is not an exact date. Usually a vehicle arrives at a dealer within 5-8 weeks, but delays can happen at any point along the assembly and shipping process, so be patient. The dealer wants you to get your car as quickly as you want to get it!
