basic history
Introduced in 1993, the Impreza has consistently been top rated. It is about the size of a Corolla or Civic. Over the years is has been available in 2, 4 and 5 door models, with all wheel drive or front wheel drive. Engines offered were a 1.8L and 2.2L.
2004: Minor and positive changes
to the RS, TS, Outback models which was substancially remodeled in 2002.
Changes include a new look to the dashboard components (vents, guages etc),
upgraded brakes with EBD, Active front headrests, central power lock switch,
no key hole in rear gate (wagons), new head and tail lights.
New colors, san Remo Red and Java Black.
New WRX STi model available, see my wrxsti2004.com
page
2003: very few changes. TS gets cruise control, RS and Outback get keyless entry and dual vanity mirrors, RS gets trunk light, WRX gets illuminated ignition key ring and new limited production Sonic Yellow. Yellow is available in both sedan and wagon, but the sedan is only available with the rear spoiler and has a separate model code. App 1,500 yellow WRXs will be made.
2002 is the first major re-design of the Impreza line.
